Lisa May

Cambridge, Massachusetts
Lisa began her real estate practice in Cambridge in 2002. Over the years she has built a reputation for quality and fairness, has expanded her practice to include Belmont, Somerville and Arlington. For the five three years, Lisa has lead the Real Estate Team of Lindsay Allison and Lisa May which now includes a dedicated assistant. Lisa came to real estate with a background in marketing, fund-raising, and design. She worked in development for institutions including Harvard University, Children's Hospital, and The Museum of Fine Arts. Through her experiences, Lisa came to understand the importance of personal relationships to nurturing philanthropy. Each donor was different and had a different relationship with the institution, requiring individualized consideration. Today, Lisa applies her exceptional sensitivity to people's needs and interests to the complex and very personal process of buying and selling homes. She offers a seasoned but creative perspective on how to market real estate and is an exceptionally insightful communicator, with a remarkable ability to solve problems and see every transaction through to the end, adding value at each stage along the way. A resident of Belmont, Lisa lives with her husband, Tevere MacFadyen, and two children, Christopher and Sam. She is involved with the community and schools in Belmont as a parent, a citizen and a resident. She recently joined the Board of Hearth Shares, an exciting new initiative raising money to fight homelessness through the restaurant industry in Greater Boston. Her husband is a principal of Main Street Design, an exhibit design firm specializing in natural history museums and aquariums.

Lisa’s Cambridge

Cambridge and its surrounding towns are like no other place I can think of. Home to extraordinary universities and cutting-edge technology, the area attracts an endless host of interesting people. From Nobel Prize-winning professors to young and exciting entrepreneurs, to inspired cooks, architects, and designers, to musicians and artists, and just curious people like me, everyone has a rich story. Similar to the diversity of its residents, the real estate and the neighborhoods within which it can be found are equally diverse. It is a treasure trove of possibilities that, once you scratch the surface, can feed your soul for generations.
